I received the following response from FSPD on October 31, 2008: From: Linda Mitchell [mailto:Admin@fspd.org] Sent: Friday, October 31, 2008 1:04 PM Subject: Brookside Glen Ponds The Frankfort Square Park District maintains the ponds within Brookside Glen, including the area mentioned in your October 30th e-mail. Park district personnel repaired minor erosion this fall, and if you can indicate a specific location, the park staff would address your concern. I am not personally aware of a specific erosion problem in any of the Brookside Glen ponds. I am equally unaware of any contamination in any park ponds. The ponds support plants, amphibians, and fish. The presence of these biological specimens generally indicate a quality resource exists. Please contact me directly to discuss your specific concerns in order that we may be able to further address your issues.
